Meet Tom Nemechek
Tom and his family have lived in Taylor for almost 20 years. “We came here when the kids were young and it is a good community for families,” he said, “there’s lots of activities for kids and adults – everything from curling to golfing to the ice rink and swimming to motocross and the race track.” Tom likes to golf and enjoys playing the local golf courses.
Tom started Peace Mechanical in 2001. He has always worked for himself and opening the business was a natural fit for Tom. He likes being an entrepreneur and enjoys the personal interactions with lots of different people.
Peace Mechanical services Taylor and area including Fort St. John and out to Goodlow. Operating Peace Mechanical provides an opportunity for Tom to help people out and he is proud of the fact that over the years his business has helped many seniors stay warm and safe in the winter season.
Tom points out that even though the community has a relatively small population, there are quite a few businesses in Taylor that have been operating successfully for a long time. “There’s always a place for well-run small businesses like ours,” he said.
